One of the basic fuctionality of a login process is to redirect the user to the original page they requested before being caught up in the login process. But what if you can't be assured that the page the user will be redirected to won't error? What if the page the user is requesting is dependent on form variables being present that will be lost by the login process? My solution is to create a UDF to perform a check after login using the <cfhttp> tag to determine if it is a safe redirect url.

Posted on April 09, 2011 by Daria | No Comments

Tune in to hear me blatantly cheat off my friends!

Check out my new internet radio show - Daria's Cheat Sheet. I'll be playing a mix of new wave, goth and industrial music from my DJ friends' set lists. Each week will feature a different DJ or personal friend's playlist. I feature them and their work on the radio's web site so you can check them out.

My first friend is DJ Marilyn Thomas of Philadelphia's premier New Wave party, Sex Dwarf! I'll be featuring her April Fool’s Gold Party playlist as well as clips from our interview with her.

CodeBass Radio is available in multiple formats as well as for the Android, iPhone and everything else. Get the details here: http://cbrtune.in/

After presenting my 'Simple MVC with FW/1' to the CFMeetup yesterday, a new great presentation on Framework One was released by Nathan Dintenfass.  Check it out!  It is a great introduction to the features in FW/1 that I don't get to in my beginner MVC presentation.  Good next step for really making the framework work for you.

Finally, my presentation yesterday included some sample code for moving from pure MVC to Beans.  You can download the updated code here [zip]
